Small Learning Communities (SLC's) provide a variety of spaces to support multiple learning styles simultaneously acknowledging every student has different needs. These spaces serve to propel SCUSD's LCAP goal areas related to College and Career Readiness; Targeted Supports for Students; Culture and Climate by creating learning environments that support a Culture and Climate for student engagement leading to College and Career Readiness.
Another SCUSD LCAP goal areas includes a focus on a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The successful implementation of a MTSS demands ongoing planning, continuous improvement, and sustaining and expanding efforts. Providing Teacher Support space for teachers to work as professionals collaborating and communicating more highly supports these MTSS implementation efforts.
