Performing Arts activities are wide ranging, including drama, dance, choral, instrumental and film-making. Provide spaces to support a variety of performing arts programs. Some of SCUSD's middle and high schools have auditoriums for the performing arts including additional small stages adjacent to music as well as performance-based learning classrooms. In the future, other examples of smaller scaled spaces that support flexible, informal and frequent performing arts events will include a pair of Learning Studios conjoined or Outdoor Learning spaces for different sizes of groups to gather.

Easily accessible to all learners as a destination for the arts. Locate Visual Arts and Performing Arts shared resource learning spaces for easy sharing by the whole school both during school and for after school programs.
Highly visible and accessible to all learners to support teachers ability to help their students increase their knowledge in general subject areas while fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of the arts.

Connect primary circulation pathways with Visual Arts and Performing Arts learning spaces for easy access to all learners and educators.
Provide direct access to the exterior for arts activities such as large or messy projects, drawing, photography, ceramics, set building for theater, music, dance and drama rehearsals and performances. The direct visual connection is important for teachers to be able to supervise students working outdoors while others work indoors.
