Susan B. Anthony is definitely a “School on the Move.” The school helps its students experience success by focusing on literacy, encouraging parental involvement, celebrating its rich cultural diversity and promoting mutual respect for all. All English-language learners spend time in English language development classes to increase their fluency with English and most receive primary language support.
All students spend time on computers and every classroom has a document camera and a SMART Board. Our students also attend a standards-based Saturday School where language arts and math skills are emphasized. START, our extended-day program, provides recreational and enrichment activities such as basketball, soccer, art and choir. Susan B. Anthony is fortunate to have a bilingual community liaison, a parent advisor, bilingual aides, as well as access to outside agencies to support its academic programs.
